In addition to pilling caused by improper wearing or friction with hard objects, it is completely normal that some loose fibers will fall off or tangle together after wearing clothes for several times to form pilling. Even the cashmere sweater with the best quality will have a slight pilling phenomenon in a moderate range at the beginning of wearing.
1. Due to the particularity of the fiber itself, the reasons for the pilling of cashmere products are as follows:
(1) Fiber length: the pilling degree of fabrics woven with longer fibers is less than that of fabrics woven with shorter fibers; As the number of fiber segments per unit length is small, there are fewer fiber ends exposed on the yarn and fabric surface. The length of cashmere fiber is 35-45 mm, while that of wool fiber is 70-140 mm.
(2) Fiber fineness: coarse fiber is not easy to pilling than fine fiber. Coarse fiber spun yarn has fewer fibers per unit area and fewer fiber ends on the exposed yarn and fabric surface; In addition, the thicker the fiber is, the harder it is. The fibers standing on the surface of the fabric are not easy to tangle into balls. Cashmere fineness is obviously smaller than wool. (3) Fiber crimp degree: the fiber has more crimps, large cohesion between fibers, and increased friction. The fiber is not easy to dissociate to the surface of the fabric, so it is not easy to pilling. Cashmere has less curl than wool.
